Encore at Wynn - Las Vegas Hotel Review

Certainly, everyone knows the meaning of the word "encore". In the short form, "again" and in the case of Encore at Wynn, "to do again". Replicating the luxurious and ostentatious environment of Wynn Las Vegas, Encore is exquisite in design, d├ęcor and ambiance. Encore Tower Suites are impeccably appointed with warm, inviting colors, posh but subtle draperies, beddings, and furniture, incredible panoramic views from the floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable and roomy bathrooms with sitting area, television, telephone and separate bath and shower. Indeed, the suites are more in line with upper scale apartments.

Although the Resort Suites are considerably smaller, they are no less luxurious and enticing with their full panes of glass magnificently displaying downtown Las Vegas or The Strip. Being able to enjoy the lights at night from this angle is a treat in itself. Work stations, one-touch climate control, airy pillow-top beds, Egyptian cotton linens, and flat screen televisions complete the total ensemble. Interestingly, Encore describes the suites as "offering style with a comfortable, residential feel". Unquestionably, many people would feel these suites were much fancier than their own homes.

Dining is somewhat unique at Encore. Unlike other themes where a chef chooses a particular region or country for his culinary delights, Encore's chefs have chosen another direction. For example, Chef Theo Schoenegger has created a restaurant in the Tower Suites which reflects the life of Frank Sinatra. Updated Italian recipes served in an area exhibiting photos of Sinatra are the specialty of this dining establishment. Another example of culinary artistry is found at Switch where it is stated that the chef is more apt to provide a theater show than simply cooking seafood and steak.

Nightlife is exciting and dramatic at Encore with a new concept in clubbing created by Victor Drai. Named "XS" because excess is the norm, the club incorporates the hotel's outdoor pool, island bar, poolside tables, cabanas and indoor seating. The centerpiece of this stunningly creative nightclub is the ten-foot rotating chandelier that highlights the dance floor. But one feature that attracts the rich and famous is the "Ono" cocktail, a mix of Dom Perignon Enotheque champagne and Louis XIII de Remy Martin Black Pearl cognac displayed with men's sterling silver cufflinks and women's eighteen-carat white gold chain. But as spectacular as all that sounds, it is not even the most dazzling part. The price of the cocktail complete with XS logo jewelry is ten-thousand dollars!

Of course, shopping is haute couture in a ritzy area brimming with all the right designers. Encore's aptly created slogan is "one person's luxury is another's necessity". The spa is a sanctuary of thirty-seven treatment rooms, whirlpool, lockers, fitness center, juice bar, and yoga classes. Barbershop and salon services are also available.
